Earthquake!
Last night Tamara and I rented an old western movie, Hang Em High. We wanted to watch an old Clint Eastwood movie and that one looked interesting. It was kind of stupid actually. Well, it was decent until the girl got more of a part. A '70s hairdo and makeup doesn't work in an 1800s western dress. It just got too cheesy, and not "old movie" cheesy, just lame. But anyway, we had just watched Clint Eastwood put five bullets into a murderous drunken cowboy named Reno when we heard a faint rumble and our whole apartment seemed to heave back and forth for about 5 seconds. My first impulsive thought was that something had crashed into the building, but then I remembered the last time I'd had that thought on my mission in Lithuania, and later found out that it had been an earthquake. So I told Tamara what was going on and we wondered for a couple seconds if we should get under the table or anything, and then it stopped. It was pretty exciting, got our adrenaline running a little bit, but it was pretty minor. The center of the quake was about 40 miles from where we are, and even there it was only strong enough to rattle plates on the table. Good wake up call though! Time to beef up our emergency planning!

Earthquakes are definitely strange. I was in two earthquakes on my mission. One was on Tinian(Leaning against a railing and it felt like some one had kicked it)the other a bit bigger. It was on Saipan shook the whole church house and made the basketball hoop bounce up and down. Glad your ok though
