Awesome Speech
Sarah Palin said everything she needed to, and she did it with style. I loved every word of her speech, and I think Obama and the media deserved every word of condemnation that they got. The hostility from the media and from the Obama camp just solidifies her position as the best pick McCain could've made. They are scared to death of her, and rightfully so. Conservative media is starting to compare her to Ronald Reagan. Lots of conservatives like to compare themselves to Ronald Reagan, but to get mass media to compare you to Ronald Reagan is the ultimate test. I have to agree that she is the most dynamic republican politician I know of since Reagan, democrats know it, and they are running scared because they're afraid their "Messiah" (which term began with sarcastic conservative media and was adopted by the Obama campaign) might now be put to the test.
On the same note, mad props to Rudy Giuliani, who spoke before Palin. His speech was absolutely riveting. What a strong, charismatic leader he is. The biggest thing I've noticed about the Republican Convention is the attention to issues, real things. The Democratic Convention focused on how Barack met his wife, and how Hillary supporters need to vote for him. There was no why, there was no discussion of foreign policy, tax handling, economy revival, war in Iraq or elsewhere, energy independence, nothing. Just "Please vote for this guy who is going to change everything. He's a really nice guy! Look, he's got cute little girls! Please vote for him! If you liked Hillary you should still vote for him because after all he's a nice guy." Giuliani and Palin both discussed the real reasons why John McCain needs to be the next president, and that is the difference between todays democrats and todays republicans.

Honey, I agree with everything you've been saying, but there is more to your life than politics and elections! Give the subject a rest!
Well if we can't agree on football, at least we can agree on politics.
