Sarah Palin for VP

Great choice for VP. Not Romney like I was hoping, but she will do just as well, if not better. I like the idea of the first woman for VP versus the first "african-american" (which I'm not sure I believe 100% that he is) for president. It's too late to make this post long, I'm so tired I'm cross-eyed, but I wanted to get on the record quick and say I am now on board the McCain ship.

I'm thinking that I'm in agreement with you. I'll have to keep watching and listening...

Personally, I think she's an even better choice than Romney. Not that Romney would make a bad VP, but being VP would probably not be the best way to set him up for another presidential run. Like I said, I'm already looking forward to 2012. In fact, if having Obama as president for the next four years would better set things up for someone like Romney to be elected, I'd go for that rather than support McCain only half-heartedly now. 'k now don't kill me and call me an Obama-lover for saying that. I really don't throw that kind of stuff out there without a lot of thought first as you so often seem to think. The timing for a Democrat president is actually fairly good if you think about it, whatever you opinions about Obama himself are.

Ugh, we'll just have to call ourselves different on that opinion -- I never think the timing is right for a democrat to be president, because I never feel like the time is right for higher taxes, retreat from necessary war, weakening our national defense, and more rights for the pro-choice. Find me a democrat that doesn't stand for these issues in the end and maybe I will consider voting for him/her. I never imagined you weren't a deep thinker, on the contrary, I just think you're a little skewed sometimes but I'm sure you think the same of me sometimes -- as you can see I do a lot of thinking of my own and try to stay as informed as possible. I actually had thought about your comments on Romney and agree with you, that if Obama wins the presidency this actually sets Romney up better for a win in 2012 than a failed run at it now. I think the nomination of McCain was hardly short of disastrous, but having Palin as VP brings a bit of balance that I can appreciate.

Romney will get in the cabinet - no doubt- Secretary of the Treasury or something.
